James Kantorowicz Solar Pool Heating, Without Panels

Heating a pool greatly enhances and extends its enjoyment. But, the cost to keep the water warm and inviting requires a great deal of energy, and most conventional pool heaters are inefficient in terms of energy costs. Installing a more efficient and environmentally-friendly heat source can reduce high utility bills and extend the swimming season. This is especially true if pool owners take advantage of the sun by using a solar pool heater.

FengShui101 My, it has come a long way......

It has been some time since I posted, but I have added a few more photos, and my craft room is currently about 95% complete (we still need to install moldings, caulk, do a little touch-up paint, hang shelves, and little stuff like that, but it is already functional. Here are some progress photos:

FengShui101 We're building a craft room!

I always have some sort of project going on at any given time. I am a creative type, and if I'm not painting, scrapbooking, editing photos, crafting, or whatever, then my creative project is always the house. In our old house, I used a "bedroom-slash-office" to create in, which was very makeshift and cramped, and I hated it. My works in progress would always spill over into the living room, and then, my boyfriend hated it, too. We recently bought this house (with the dreaded popcorn ceilings!)… Continue

Jason Beaird Dishwasher Mounting

With so many people upgrading to granite and other stone countertops these days, It seems kinda silly to me that the default method of mounting a dishwasher is still this:

While we do have wood under the granite in our kitchen, the position of the countertop mounting brackets would put the screws dead center in the granite block that makes the bullnose edge. NOT going to happen
